Coventry Health Care of Missouri, Inc. (Coventry) has signed an agreement with Washington University School of Medicine adding the school's physicians to two of Coventry's Medicare networks. Under the agreement, effective July 1, members of Coventry's Gold Advantage (HMO) and Advantra (PPO) Medicare Advantage plans can receive covered services, at in-network rates, from The School of Medicine physicians.
?Our physicians offer world-class patient care, research and teaching to the community we serve.?
"We are pleased to provide access to our top doctors, best equipped facilities, and latest applications of approved clinical research to Coventry Medicare members," said James P. Crane, M.D., CEO of Washington University Physicians. "Our physicians offer world-class patient care, research and teaching to the community we serve."
Coventry's Medicare network includes approximately 50 hospitals and more than 14,000 primary care and specialist physicians across the St. Louis and southern Illinois region.
"We are excited to welcome The School of Medicine physicians to our network," said Ryan Voisey, Coventry's Vice President and General Manager of Medicare. "With this new arrangement, Coventry can offer our Medicare Advantage members access to more of the region's high-quality physicians with Coventry's quality benefits."
