Cancer-survivor? Michael Douglas will not attend this year?s Academy Awards , but his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones will still go, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
Zeta-Jones , 43, is taking a close pal to the ceremony on February 24 and her husband of 13 years will stay home with their children.

?Catherine is attending the Academy Awards with a family member, as Michael just doesn?t feel like going,? a source told RadarOnline.com.

Michael, 68, has battled stage IV throat cancer but a source close to him insists he is well and skipping the Oscars is not a result of a health setback. He was diagnosed in 2010.
?Michael will stay at home with son Dylan and daughter Carys, while Catherine will attend the ceremony and the after parties with her pal,? the source said.
?He has been very busy of late, promoting his forthcoming biopic Liberace, as well as ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange.

?But Catherine looks forward to the Oscars every year. She loves the glitz and glamor of the event and wouldn?t miss it for the world.?
Michael has been under a lot of stress lately as his son from his previous marriage to Diandra Luker , Cameron Douglas does prison time for a drug conviction.
And as RadarOnline.com previously reported, he had further cause for concern after learning that Cameron, 34, was attacked in prison and had a leg and a finger broken.

The New York Post? reported that Cameron became the target of a New York mobster who put a mere $100 bounty on Michael?s famous son.
It was claimed it was payback for the fact that Cameron had ratted out his drug? suppliers during his original sentencing hearing, information that was inadvertently revealed during a 2010 bail hearing.
Cameron?s testimony against the dealers helped get him a five year, instead of 10 year, sentence in 2009. But he later earned himself an additional four and a half years behind bars for smuggling in heroin and a prescription narcotic while at the Metropolitan Correctional Center.
